Something Old, Something New is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the traditional fiber arts. All of our items are hand-made by our Artisans, Instructors, and Members. We are funded primarily through private donations and grants. As founding cooperative members we intend to: INSTRUCT Teach traditional women's arts to each other, including sewing, basketmaking, weaving, and jewelry making, and to improve our skills together! RECYCLE Recycle donated materials, otherwise destined for the landfill, into clothing, household goods, and crafts. PROVIDE Market and sell our products and services at a fair cost as a way of generating income for our Artisans and Traditional Fiber Arts cooperative. NURTURE Sustain our own and each other's commercial ventures. GIVE BACK Contribute to our community by training unemployed and/or unskilled women and men in these arts, providing them a lifelong source of enjoyment, pride and, if they wish, a new vocation. Our Hand Crafted Items, Wearable Art, and One-of-a-Kind Gifts
