1 New York - Cairo

Day 2
Cairo
Afternoon arrival
in Cairo where our host will meet, assist, and transfer you to your
hotel.
Day
3 Cairo City Tour
This morning your
guide will introduce you to the masterpieces of ancient Egyptian art
in the Egyptian Museum, including the treasures of Tutankhamun.
Drive to Old Cairo, where early Christianity first flourished in
Egypt. Visit the Hanging Church with its wonder-working image of Our
Lady and the Coptic Orthodox Church of St Mary where people have
witnessed apparitions of Our Lady. Time permitting, we will continue
via the City of the Dead to the Khan El Khalili bazaar where
shopping will be an unforgettable experience.
Day 4 Cairo
- Giza - Memphis -Sakkara
After
breakfast, a scenic drive will take you to the Pyramids and Sphinx
of Giza, which have stood for 5000 years. Complete your visit to
Giza with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, continue to
ancient Memphis, the first capital of a united Upper and Lower
Egypt, and then to Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. This
evening, drive to the Pyramids for a Sound and Light Show
presentation.
Day 5 Cairo
- Aswan - Abu Simbel
This morning you
will take a flight to Abu Simbel. While there visit the Great Temple
of Ramses II, and the smaller Temple of Queen Nefertari. After
visiting this magnificent site, you will be transferred to the
airport for your flight back to Aswan. Once there, your host will
assist and transfer you to a luxury cruise ship for a 5 day/4 night
cruise. Afternoon felucca sail to view Elephantine Island and the
Nilometer, built by the Pharaohs, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.
Day 6 Aswan
- Kom Ombo - Edfu
Before leaving
Aswan, you’ll pay a visit to the awesome Aswan dam, Philae Temple,
and gaze at the massive Unfinished Obelisk in the original granite
quarry. Set sail down river this afternoon to visit the Temple of
Kom Ombo. Sail to Edfu for overnight.
Day 7 Edfu
- Luxor
This morning
travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus which is
considered to be the apex of Egyptian temple architecture.Then sail
to Luxor.
Day
8 Luxor
Cross the Nile
today to visit the world-renowned Valley of the Kings, Queens and
the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Then visit the Colossi of
Memnon. In the evening, enjoy a Sound and Light Show presentation at
Karnak Temple. Overnight in Luxor.
Day
9 Luxor - Cairo
Today you will
visit Luxor Temple, a temple dedicated to the God Amon-Ra. It was
expanded by Ramses II, who added many statues of himself. Then go on
to visit the magnificent Karnak Temple. In the afternoon, fly back
to Cairo with several hours free to explore more of the city or do
some last minute shopping.

10 Cairo - New York
After
an early breakfast, your host will transfer you to the airport for
your departure flight on Egypt Air.
